Frequently Asked Questions
Is Compliant Retrofits MCS accredited?
We do not hold MCS certification ourselves. Installations that require MCS — such as solar panels and heat pumps under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme or for Smart Export Guarantee payments — are delivered through MCS-certified installation partners, and we follow MCS installation standards proactively across all of our renewable energy work.
Is RECC accreditation required for solar panels or heat pumps?
RECC is a consumer protection code for renewable energy customers, covering transparent pricing, a 14-day cooling-off period, and free dispute resolution — we follow the RECC Code of Practice proactively. MCS is the technical standard required for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and SEG payments, which is provided through our MCS-certified installation partners.
Do I need an accredited installer for ECO4 funding?
Yes. ECO4 requires PAS 2035 compliance and PAS 2030-certified installation. We ensure every project meets these standards, working with certified installers wherever certification is required.
What is TrustMark and why does it matter?
TrustMark is the government-endorsed quality scheme for home improvements. TrustMark-registered contractors meet high standards for customer service and technical competence, and many government schemes require TrustMark registration. We work to the TrustMark framework across all of our projects.
